this cage the elephant song is currently on repeat…in my car, on my computer, and in my head. i had written cage the elephant off because i was so annoyed with their last hit (ain’t no rest for the wicked), like i truly just despised it. but their new album, thank you happy birthday, isn’t bad. this was the first song i heard off it and was surprised to hear it was by them.
i have this retro camera app on droid x (it was free!) and i really love taking photos with it. if the lighting is right, the photos actually turn out pretty sweet! of course real vintage film cameras are the best, but the equipment and film can be very expensive (i just bought film for my old polaroid and it was $25 for 8 prints. YIKES!) here are some that i took on my phone:
since christmas i have been obsessed with gnosis chocolate. i bought crisanto the aphrodesia bar, and oh man was that delicious! i have never had raw/organic/vegan chocolate before so i don’t have much to compare it to, but i have had some amazing chocolate and i think this stuff is by far the best (i feel really good about eating it too which is a plus).
so since i bought from them i now get email notifications about new chocolates and sales. for valentine’s day they have a passion trio of truffles that i had to get. so i sent some down to my friends in atlanta, then i decided to send some to crisanto’s parents, and lastly i couldn’t stand it any longer so i bought some for cris and i. i am waiting til valentine’s day to try them, so i can’t tell you how good they are yet, but i can only imagine! look how pretty they are too!

just came across these wonderful umbrellas! i can’t wait for someone to start carrying them in the U.S. because when they do ill be buying one…or maybe 2 so cris and i can have a photoshoot just as cute as this one :)
so i don’t really wear tennis shoes, im more of a boot or heels person buuuuut these shoes (a collaboration between camper and bernhard willhelm) are too awesome not to love. im not sure that i will ever buy them, but i obsess over them.
so archer farms at target has some pretty great food, but right now i am totally obsessing over their sunny cranberry trail mix. i bought the 1lb jar of it last week and am almost finished it! oh my!!! but its sooo good! it has: dried cranberries, golden raisins, almonds, sunflower seeds, and pepitas. i guess while im at it i will also let you know that my other current food obsession (much in same realm of the trail mix) is the sunsweet california prunes in the individual packages (this i am convinced keeps the fruit moist).
my boyfriend introduced me to this american life not long ago, and now i listen to the the archives of it everyday, all day long at work. that’s about 40 hours a week and then on top of that some nights i will go home and watch it on netflix too! i have always loved hearing other people’s stories of life and ira glass (who is from baltimore which gives him extra props from me) does such a good job presenting these stories. im completely obsessed!
i recently had to get my canon powershot replaced, and to my surprise the model it was replaced with was an upgraded version, the powershot SD1400 IS. i love it so much! i have become obsessed with using the fish eye lens it came with, in particular for photos of eyes.
this lotion from bath and body works really does make your hands feel amazingly soft. i use it on my elbows too and sometimes my belly if it gets itchy from this dry cold air. i have a full size bottle and a travel size so i have it with me at all times. definitely can’t live without it.
i downloaded angry birds on my android over the holidays and now it has completely consumed my life. for instance, i play when im sitting at a red light, when im walking to work, pretty much any spare moment i have. yes, it’s unhealthy, but im addicted.
